Great Barrier Island and Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand. Severe sunburn, particularly on the tops of my feet and hands.

I used sunscreen, but it apparently wasn't enough; New Zealand has a severely eroded ozone layer, and burn time is very short.

Potentially permanent damage.
